Araldica Corsini Barbaresco

Intense notes of chocolate & coffee

Smooth and delicious Barbaresco with rose flower notes and spice aromas. The palate is rich and full bodied with intense mocha notes and a long finish.

Tasting notes

Smooth and delicious Italian red made from the Nebbiolo grape variety, this wine has similar characteristics to its Piedmont neighbour Barolo. From Araldica Corsini, this is smooth with refined and rounded tannins showing intense notes of chocolate and coffee. A great match to beef fillet or lamb.

Expert reviews

"A classy and elegant wine. The tannins are smooth and refined, and these hold a beautiful structure that's round and intense, with notes of chocolate and coffee over a core of deep red berry and cherry flavours. Delicious with tender lamb or rich beef dishes, this is a bold yet elegant Italian."

Perfect food match

Beef Wellington with Araldica Corsini

Beef Wellington

Using a well seasoned fillet of beef and coarse mushroom pâté, this decadent dish is perfectly matched to a Baberesco, with its smooth tannins and intense coffee notes. The richness of the meat comes through, as the subtle truffle notes of the wine enhance the sublime mushroom pâté. Serve with creamed spinach for a contrast of textures.
