Delicious fizz from vineyards in Glamorgan
Glyndwr is the oldest family-run vineyard in Wales. This fizz is made in the traditional method from a blend of Rondo and Seyval Blanc grapes. It displays delicate strawberry fruit overlaid by fresh biscuity notes.

In 1979, while running a family potato business in Cardiff, Richard and Robbie Norris began the planning and preparation of the fields that are now Glyndwr Vineyard.
Sue and Anne Norris (both pregnant at the time) started digging and, with the somewhat erratic assistance from a then two-year-old
Louis Norris, completed the planting of the first 3,000 vines in 1982.
But, all the hard work paid off when the sunny, south facing slope and terroir proved to be ideal for the vines to flourish. Three years on, in celebration of the first harvest, the vineyard was full with local dignitaries and friends who made dramatic inroads into the first precious bottles.
What name or label for the first sales?
A re-enactment of one of Prince Owain Glyndwr's bloody battles of 1406 by a film company just a few fields away provided the answer and Glyndwr Wine was born!
Today, the label depicts Glyndwr astride a valiant charger in front of the romantic Carreg Cennen Castle, with his Coat of Arms on the back of the bottle.
For the first few years, perhaps with more enthusiasm than accuracy, family children attached the labels by hand.
In the vineyard, two beautiful and inquisitive llamas, Jade and Dusk, who specialise in
pruning and fertilising the vineyard, are helping Sue.
These two are the visitors' favourites with the resident ducks, chickens and the tame pheasant and crow not far behind!
Years of tireless teamwork have transformed the vineyard into a renowned and professional estate.
Louis has just returned to Wales to help his brother Jo with the business, making it truly a family venture. Richard enjoys his personal relationship with Waitrose and takes care to deliver to the stores himself.
