Good value Pinot Grigio
I have to disagree with some previous comments. Pinot Grigio is all too often neutral and frankly uninteresting. Whilst it is still not quite my cup of tea, I would say that this is a good quality example of Pinot Grigio.
Pale lemon in appearance with a light and expressive floral bouquet (literally) - summer flowers, jasmine and rose petals with tropical fruits - mango, banana and lychee plus a hint of honey and white pepper. It is less expressive on the palate but still offers hints of tropical fruit - mango and lychee with almond, honey and a medium finish with medium acidity. Good value at £11.99

Not as good as it was
The 2013 and 2014 years for this were quite spectacular as Pinot Grigio goes. One of the best PGs I've ever tasted and well worth 5 stars. Sadly Waitrose have now moved on to the 2015 which isn't in the same league. It's still OK if you like PG, but I won't buy any more this year. I'll be back to see what the 2016 is like though.

Not a bad PG, but certainly not the best I've had
This St Michael-Eppan doesn't do anything to counter-balance the bad rap that PG gets from wine-buffs. Even at a discounted price, this is an expensive wine for the depth of flavour and length of finish that you don't get.
