Phillip's Choice

"Robust and ripe, with a big burst of fruit, this red wine is so flavoursome, you’ll still be able to taste it 30 seconds after taking a sip."

Tasting notes

Fresh, ripe black fruits are combined with subtle notes of black pepper, chocolate and spice, to create an elegant toasty wine with complex aromas.

The Mont Gras winery is located in the heart of one of the best regions for reds in Chile. Vineyards here are ideally situated for Carménère, which requires a long growing season to fully mature, due to the fickle nature of this grape.

Expert reviews

"A soft and juicy award-winning red from the established Carménère variety. Structured oak and supple tannins make this wine an ideal pairing to most dishes - even try with curry."
