Tasting notes

This is an elegant, cool-climate Pinot Noir that’s fragrant, soft and flavourful. It shows enticing aromas of ripe cherries and plums, and a gentle palate full of sweet fruit and soft tannins. With good structure and length, this is a delicious wine to partner with pan fried duck or seared tuna.

Oyster Bay takes its name from the local Oyster Bay in Marlborough, on the tip of New Zealand’s majestic South Island. Oyster Bay’s reputation has been built from vines grown in Marlborough’s Wairau Valley, now recognised as one of the great wine-growing regions of the world.

"This grape variety has always been a favourite of mine, with more layers than a serious game of Jenga! "

Perfect food match

Oven baked honey glazed gammon with cheesy mash with Oyster Bay Pinot Noir

Oven baked honey glazed gammon with cheesy mash

Rich, sweet flavours of the gammon are beautifully matched to the floral, fruity notes if this Pinot Noir. The fresh acidity of the wine cuts through the creamy mash like a dream.
