Such is the irresistible nature of this Riesling's racy grapefruit, nectarine and floral aromas backed by lively, juicy citrus on the palate that we're convinced it will lead to the grape overtaking Sauvignon as New Zealand's favourite.

At the Wild Earth restaurant nestled in the beautiful Goldfields Mining Centre (shown left), they recommend serving this scintillating drop with a lightly smoked fish fillet on a bed of mushroom risotto with a light drizzle of truffle oil. And for those with a taste for spice, it's a wonderful match with Thai cuisine.
