Full-bodied, smooth and plummy (without being too jammy), full of black fruit flavours, chocolate notes and a pleasant peppery hit. This huge Californian Zinfandel is a perfect partner to spicy foods (my guilty pleasure being a glass with a pepperoni pizza.) It benefits greatly from a couple of hours breathing before drinking. "
