Terrasses du Larzac is an appellation within the Coteaux du Languedoc situated on the Cevennes foothills. This delicious red is made from Syrah, Grenache Noir and Mourvèdre, with a little Carignan and Cinsault.

"Calmel & Joseph make a huge range of wines divided between those made from particular Languedoc terroirs and local grape varieties and modern Pays d'Oc, such as the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay (also in this review) under the Villa Blanche label. This mouthfilling but polished Larzac is one of the former. It's a blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre with a little Carignan and Cinsault and is packed with flavour – sweet, smoky, gamey, stony notes, wild hedgerow berries, garriguey herbs, spices, cocoa and tangerine freshness."
