Tasting notes

An excellent-value, soft-textured Bordeaux from the Montagne Saint-Émilion region produced by the highly regarded négociant house of Dourthe. Flavours of ripe blueberry and blackberry fruit combine in this wine with savoury cedar notes to great effect.

With its attractive dark cherry colour, this Saint Émilion boasts an extremely expressive bouquet combining red fruits and spice with hints of forest floor. Round and supple on the palate, its firm body is underpinned by silky tannins. The wine is long and aromatic on the finish, with spicy notes.

Expert reviews

"I first discovered this wine on a trip to the region, in a tiny local restaurant near the vineyards. Now whenever I taste it I am transported back there, as for me this truly encapsulates the essence of great Bordeaux."
