Villa Antinori

600 years of history in a glass

The Antinoris have been producing wine for 600 years and this excellent red is evidence of their expertise. Deliciously oaky with red fruit flavours and silky tannins.

Tasting note

The Antinori family have been making wine since 1385 in Florence. Their flag-ship wine is the Villa Antinori which has been made since 1927. The wine is a subtle blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet and Merlot aged in 225 litre barriques. A luscious hearty wine that goes well with steak and roasts.

Expert reviews

"Just under half of this wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah which is added to traditional Sangiovese. The grapes add wonderful flavours of black fruits, chocolate and spices to the ripe cherry of the Sangiovese. Delicious with your favourite Sunday roast."

Perfect food match

Classic meatball and spaghetti with Villia Antinori

Classic meatball and spaghetti

Rich, tomato sauce is the key to this dish. While juicy, meaty meatballs bring structure and texture. A beautiful Tuscan red with supple tannins and oaky undertones goes brilliantly with this dish, complimenting the robust flavours of the meatballs, while balancing out the acidity of the tomatoes.
