Raise a glass to the great British summer with three breathtakingly aromatic whites... zesty Grüner Veltliner from award-winning winemaker Markus Hubert, lithe Spanish Albariño and a suitably zippy Sauvignon Blanc.
Alc vol: 13.0% | Line no: 012015
A single-vineyard wine, grown on stony alluvial soil close to the Waihopai River. Brent Marris took the name from The Ned, a rugged peak nearby. Zesty and fruity, this wine has characteristic blackcurrant leaf and gooseberry flavours with a great smoky, herbal twist. It’s excellent with fresh and smoked salmon, oysters or spicy prawns.
Alc vol: 13% | Line no: 449983
Galicia resembles the green fields and rocky coasts of Ireland more than the classic image of dry, sunny Spain. Cool temperatures and rain contribute to the elegant, fresh, aromatic style, with notes of peach, apricot and mango reflecting this fantastic variety. Ideal with fish.
Alc vol: 12.5% | Line no: 899082
This 100% Grüner Veltliner by top winemaker Markus Huber was hand-harvested in October 2014 in the Traisental region, 60km north-east of Vienna. It’s refreshing, aromatic and delightfully elegant, with hints of white pepper typical of the variety. Delicious flavours of peach and citrus fruits make it ideal to serve with Asian cuisine.
