Named after the wild goats that roam the mountainous terrain of Central Otago
This is a great example of the quality wines Pinot Noir can produce in this region. Fine, silky tannins entwine with dark berry, cherry and cocoa flavours. This is fantastic with slow roasted shoulder of lamb or goat.
Sauvignon Blanc from the Marlborough region is the wine that put New Zealand on the map, enticing us with its fresh, lively, exuberant aromas. New Zealand is also a fine source for other grape varieties, and can be relied upon year in, year out for producing world-class styles.
The white wines are aromatic, fresh and fruity in style, namely Riesling, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc. The Sauvignon Blanc can be some of the best in the world, and the Pinot Gris has made a big hit as a great food-matching style. As for the reds, Pinot Noir is a successful grape variety, as is Merlot, producing ripe, fleshy, fruit-driven wines.

"Soft, medium bodied, big cherry and plum flavours, hint of smoke. Perfect for lamb."
"It's probably a couple of Pounds more than I'd ideally pay for mid-range sauvignon blanc, but I have to say I was pretty much blown away on the first mouthful. "
"Delicious! Great example of an excellent NZ Pinot Grigio. I wasn't expecting the pink hue but it added to my enjoyment."
