Sensual stars from France's most beguiling wine region
An elegant gift box showcasing two jewels of Burgundy... a scintillating, mineral-edged Chablis and beautifully supple Chorey-les-Beaune. For someone yet to discover Burgundy, this gift is a memorable introduction.
Domaine Maillard Père et Fils 2013 Chorey-lès-Beaune
This small grower from a village near Beaune consistently produces a Pinot Noir with beautifully defned fruit and rounded structure. Chorey-lès-Beaune is a lesser-known appellation just to the north of Beaune in the Côte d'Or. In the right hands, such as here, it produces wonderfully soft and spicy Pinot Noir.
Simonnet-Febvre 2014 Chablis, Premier Cru Montmains Simonnet-Febvre was established in 1840 and is widely regarded as one of the region's top producers. This is a classic, vibrant Chablis that's fresh and lean with plenty of citrus and foral aromas. The palate is defned and mineral with bright, crisp apple and lime fruit favours and a steely fnish.
Beautifully presented in a luxury card gift box with straw.
