Case at a glance

3 bottles of red and 3 bottles of white

Bin number:

1 x Fief Guérin Muscadet Sur Lie, Côtes de Grandlieu
Loire, France

Alc vol: 12% | Line no: 084937
A superlative Muscadet with real richness and length on the palate. At the moment Muscadet is probably the most underrated region in the whole of France for white wine production. This wine shows the combination of fresh citrus notes and depth of favour so characteristic of the best Muscadets, which are always delicious with shellfish.

1 x Laurent Miquel Albariño
Pays d'Oc, France

Alc vol: 12.5% | Line no: 424679
Another avant-garde wine from this exciting producer. Aromas of grapefruit have delicate foral overtones, while the palate is lively and refreshing with generous white peach flavours and lime on the finish. A soft yet crisp and aromatic white, it illustrates Laurent's signature style of clear pure fruit.

1 x Marsolay Chardonnay
Pays d'Oc, France

Alc vol: 13.5% | Line no: 427111
Crafted using low-yielding vines from selected plots, the careful use of French oak produces an almost Burgundian-style Chardonnay. It shows ripe tropical fruit and citrus favours with a rich, creamy texture. There are hints of apple blossom and vanilla, toffee overtones and a silky fInish.

1 x Cave de Roquebrun Col de la Serre
Saint-Chinian, France

Alc vol: 13% | Line no: 421722
This classic Saint-Chinian is ruby-red with a complex nose that shows the herbal and slightly wild notes of the garrigue, with plenty of ripe berry notes. It has a well-structured balance of tannin and summer-pudding fruit running through it. A friendly wine for cooler evenings.

1 x L'Arène des Anges Costières de Nîmes
Rhône, France

Alc vol: 13% | Line no: 531345
Costières de Nîmes sits next to the Côtes du Rhône region and offers the same style of ripe, rich wine with black fruit and a hint of pepper spice. This wine is a blend of Grenache and Syrah, and the use of old vine fruit gives it depth, complexity and character. Great with sausages and mash, roast chicken or spicy falafel.

1 x Domaine Saint-Martin Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon
Cité de Carcassonne, France

Alc vol: 13% | Line no: 854284
Cité de Carcassonne is one of France's newest regions, encompassing several villages surrounding the city. Domaine Saint Martin, near the village of Leuc, has crafted a lovely red with notes of blackberry, plum and a hint of toast. Juicy and approachable, it's ideal with duck or pork.
