Les Chartrons was built on land that belonged to a monastery (or ‘chartreux’), and was also home to the 18th-century wine traders. It is 60% Merlot, bringing a rounded character with juicy blackberry flavours, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, lending structure, and the remainder Cabernet Franc. Stylish and deliciously approachable, it’s perfect with roast lamb.

Calvet’s leading brand of claret, this consistent blend has sumptuous, rich
fruit. As well as possessing ripe and intense berry fruit flavours, it has a silky texture and fragrant notes of new vanilla oak. It’s expertly made by a young winemaker – very much in a modern style, but with definite Bordeaux character. Enjoy with classic roast dishes.
