    Nyetimber

Having optimal conditions is only part of the story when it comes to making a truly great wine. Part art, part science, it requires imagination, attention to detail and a dedication to craftsmanship. Cherie Spriggs - Winemaker

Nyetimber is the most famous UK winery, first recorded in the Domesday Book in 1086.

Nyetimber own all of their vineyards, and they grow only the traditional champagne varieties of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir.

Nyetimber is owned by Eric Heerema, originally from the Netherlands, Eric bought Nyetimber is 2006 and it's his enthusiasm and passion that has been instrumental in the global success of this vineyard.

Nyetimber craft all their wines according to the traditional method, aging them for extended periods of time and giving the bottles sufficient post-disgorgement time before release.

    Nyetimber

Cherie Spriggs is chief winemaker at Nyetimber. While she has vast experience producing quality wines all over the world, Cherie was drawn to Nyetimber many years ago while still living in Canada.

Cherie's training included postgraduate studies at the Wine Research Center in Vancouver, and subsequently at Adelaide University.

She worked in McLaren Vale and the Hunter Valley in Australia, Central Otago in New Zealand, Oregon and on Vancouver Island before joining Nyetimber with her husband Brad in 2007.

Lovely pale gold and gentle, fine bubbles. Toasty, spicy and complex aromas showing wonderful development after more than three years on lees in our cellar.

The palate supports these complex aromas with honey, almond, pastry and baked apple flavours.

They've scooped numerous awards, including IWSC Trophy for 'Best Worldwide Sparkling Wine' for an unprecedented three times in succession and the IWSC 'UK Wine Producer of the Year' trophy four times.

Perfect food match

Lemon Meringue Pie with Nyetimber Classic Cuvée

Lemon meringue pie

This may seem an unusual pairing, but the sweetness of the meringue married with tart lemon curd complements the brioche and citrus flavours in the wine. A glass of this iconic English sparkling wine would be a perfect accompaniment to this dessert.
