Velvety smooth Montepulciano
A really delicious velvety smooth red wine made from the Montepulciano grape variety in the Abruzzo region of southern Italy. Deeply coloured this a wonderfully fruity fragrant red.
When produced with an eye on quality rather than quantity there is no doubt that the Montepulciano grape is capable of producing really delicious, velvety red wines. La Piuma is an example of this style: full-bodied but in no way heavy; seriously ripe, but not overly sweet.
