A 'Super-Venetion' from the renwoned Masi family
First made in 1964, this is the Veneto's answer to a 'Super Tuscan'. Full-bodied with a soft tannin structure, cherry and plum flavours with hints of cinnamon, cocoa, tobacco and vanilla on the long finish. Exceptional value.
In the rolling hills of Verona in 1964, Italian winemaker Guido Boscaini had a simple yet ingenious idea – combining traditional methods with new techniques to create a wine rich in aromas and structure.
The result was Campofiorin, a rich and full-bodied red that’s made by re-fermenting wine crafted from freshly picked grapes. The flavour is somewhere between a Valpolicella and an Amarone, a beautifully complex wine that’s really versatile with a soft tannin structure.
Serve with rich pasta dishes, grilled and roasted red meat, and spicy Asian and South American flavours.
