Aberlour A'bunadh Speyside Single Malt Whisky

Aged in sherry casks for a rich, deep flavour

Aberlour A'bunadh is a natural, single cask strength malt whisky, bottled directly from sherry casks and undiluted. It's not chill-filtered either, thus preserving the richness and flavour of the sherry.

Expert reviews

"Burns' night wouldn't be Burns' night without whisky, so I had to mention at least one. This is simply glorious - Speyside is my favourite region and this distillery isn't far from where I first tried fly-fishing on Spey. And yes, I did fall in, but only once, and I also caught a fish, amazingly. The short necks of the stills and use of sherry casks makes this rich, deep and fruity, my favourite flavour style for whiskies.

It's traditionally made and therefore cask strength, so worth sipping slowly after dinner. There's a lovely history to ruminate on at the same time - this is rumoured to emulate the flavours of a bottle found in a time capsule buried in the still-house wall, from the time of the founder James Fleming.
