A wine with attractive notes of citrus and ripe melon fruitiness, all wrapped up in a soft, buttery texture. This single-village wine is from Louis Jadot's cellars, made with premium fruit from top vineyard sites that was destined for a large Mâcon blend, but was instead kept aside for us. Ideal with seafood brochettes or a pear and walnut salad.

From the acclaimed, family owned and pioneering Jackson Estate, this wine is a blend of fruit from various different vineyard sites that are used to create natural complexity. Punchy lime and gooseberry aromatics give way to a racy pink grapefruit flavour with hints of asparagus and a cleansing minerality.

This is a brilliant-value claret that has a strong following at Waitrose. It comes from a vineyard in the Haut-Médoc, north of Bordeaux, and boasts a rich and seductive nose, followed by a round palate full of ripe blackberry flavours. The finish is long and succulent, with smoky notes, making it an excellent wine to accompany red meats or game.
Alc vol: 14.5% | Line no: 652082
This is a fine example of a powerful, ripe and charming Ripasso-style Valpolicella. It is produced in partnership with Fratelli Recchia, a family firm founded in 1906, which owns some of the best vineyards in the Valpolicella Classico area. Ripasso offers a very drinkable, balanced alternative to Amarone at a more approachable price. Enjoy this rich wine with roast beef.
