Tasting notes

This is justifiably a very popular Italian sparkling wine, made from the native Italian Nerello Mascalese and Glera grape varieties. It has an aromatic bouquet, a fresh fruity flavour and a gentle mousse making it an ideal apéritif for parties and celebrations. It’s delicious with cold prawn starters too.

Expert reviews

"A deliciously soft, fresh and fruity pink fizz - that is such a favourite with our customers, that it's undoubtedly one of the stars of our sparkling wine range, if we go by the popular vote! As it's a touch lighter at 11%, it's supremely easy-drinking and makes for a great apéritif."

Classic prawn cocktail

This pink sparkling is an ideal match to classic prawn cocktail. The wine is delicate with subtle red berry notes which don't overpower the prawns but also cuts through the creamy Marie Rose sauce.
