In search of a fresher, bolder tasting gin, Ableforth turned to the history books for inspiration. Looking to 1920s America, where illicit gin was concocted in bathtubs, they found a small-batch, handcrafted method to effectively flavour gin and set about marrying this approach with the best modern gin-making methods.
They start by distilling an already delicious London Dry Gin in a traditional copper-pot still, before taking the extra step of infusing an additional six botanicals into the gin over the course of seven days. This crucial process adds extra layers of flavour and freshness as well as a touch of colour to the resulting gin. Finally, every bottle is lovingly wrapped, strung and waxed by hand in Kent making Bathtub Gin a multi-award winning gin that is truly handcrafted from start to finish.
