The full-bodied nature of this fresh, fruity Mendozan Malbec – with its delicious flavours of plums and blackberries – is perfect for those Friday steak nights, Saturday pizza slices in front of the TV or any evening when fresh tomatoey pasta is on the menu.
One of the many reasons it's so good with food is because it's made by the Zuccardi family, who have been crafting Malbec for three generations in one of the oldest wine-producing regions of Argentina.
Maipu is south-west of Mendoza and it's here that the grapes are hand-harvested from vines high up above sea level. Winemaker Ruben Ruffo leaves them to ferment in their skins during fermentation so that all of the gorgeous fruit flavour, colour and character of the terroir is extracted... and poured into your glass.
