    Breaking the mold

Montes wines is a dream come true for four visionaries who knew that high quality fine wines could be produced in Chile and they, with skill, attention to detail and pure hard work spent the past 30 years breaking the mold and opening the minds of worldwide critics to superb fine wine from this region.

Determination paid off and today their wines are available in over 100 countries worldwide.

    Their Mantra

Our commitment to method and process is almost obsessive; nothing is left to chance.....we don't follow conventional recipes: we just need the best grapes, and apply care and thought to them. Aurelio Montes - Winemaker

    Tasting note

This wine is blended using Malbec from two different estates. 45% comes from the Marchigüe Estate a further 45% comes from the Apalta Estate while the remaining 10% is made up of Cabernet Sauvignon also from the Apalta Estate.

The nose expels notes of red cherry, raspberry and strawberry in unison with black pepper and spice. The wine has spent 12 months in French oak barrels which has developed superior complexities in both aromas and on the palate. An elegant wine with soft, silky tannins and a delightful finish.
