This robust, juicy red comes from one of Mendoza’s best producers, who make own-label wine only for Waitrose. Alongside juicy plum, redcurrant and blackberry fruit flavours are notes of chocolate, bay leaves and spice, toasted with a little oak that rounds off the palate, and all leading towards a deliciously long finish.
Great with grilled meats and especially a juicy steak, it also complements Italian food such as Bolognese very well.
