Mirabeau Pure Provence Rosé

Mirabeau's flagship wine, inspired by lazy days on the Côte d'Azur

Strawberry notes followed by raspberries and white cherries. Then a merest whisper of that most elegant of fruits, rhubarb. The fruit provides an element of textural fruitiness that enables this wine to be drunk as an aperitif as well as with food.

  • Mirabeau en Provence

    Mirabeau en Provence

Stephen Cronk has always had a passion for all things wine. By the age of 30 he had successfully run a wine and coffee business before moving into the corporate world of telecommunications, where he would spend the next 15 years.

For many years we had been dreaming and talking about moving to France to make our own wine, but the moment never seemed quite right to make the big leap.

When Stephen was made redundant in 2008 he saw this as the opportunity to make a dream come true.

In 2009, Stephen and his family sold their house and moved to Cotignac, in the heart of Provence.

They spent the following year settling into their new lives and setting up a small wine business with the principle objective of making a Provence rosé

This hard-work, passion and time have resulted in the award-winning, critically acclaimed Mirabeau.

    Tasting note and reviews

Pure Mirabeau is a wine made from some of the highest vineyards in the Côtes de Provence. Very pale, delicate violet pink with a hint of salmon weaving through the colour spectrum. Strawberry notes appear first closely followed by raspberries and white cherries.

Then a merest whisper of that most elegant of fruits, rhubarb. The acidity is crisp and integrated and the generous fruit provides an element of texture that enables this wine to be drunk as an aperitif as well as with food.

(Pure)...is the more elegant sibling (of Mirabeau Côtes de Provence Rosé), sheer in both colour and taste, one of those wines you want to hold up to the light. Its flavours are more elusive. The strawberries in there are wild and fleeting, there are fresh herbs too, a glory of a pale wine.
