Meet the producer at Ramsbury Single Estate Spirits
Under the experienced eye of group manager Alistair Ewing, the gin makers ensure that the process from field to bottle takes place entirely on a single 19,000-acre estate, near Ramsbury village in Wiltshire. The team sows, grows and sources almost all the ingredients, from the Horatio wheat to their own chalk-filtered water.
“When we distilled our first batch, it was a smooth, soft London Dry gin with delicious botanicals, but it lacked a certain something,” says Alistair. “So we set out into the orchard where the quince trees grow, picked a fruit and added it to our next batch, which was outstanding.” What’s also outstanding is the estate’s commitment to sustainable processes. “As farmers and distillers, we always work with nature, never against it. Everybody who tastes our gin does so in the knowledge that the environment is never harmed, hopefully enhanced”

Quince gives this gin its signature fruity, floral note. Juniper, angelica and cinnamon add further layers of spice and complexity.
