A single-vineyard wine, grown on stony alluvial soil close to the Waihopai River. Brent Marris took the name from The Ned, a rugged peak nearby. Zesty and fruity, this wine has characteristic blackcurrant leaf and gooseberry flavours with a great smoky, herbal twist. It’s excellent with fresh and smoked salmon, oysters or spicy prawns.

From an exemplary Malbec producer, this shows all the typical character of the variety: smooth and silky, there are flavours of juicy cherries and blackberries, layered with spicy and delicate floral notes.
