We’ve teamed up with our Waitrose Cookery School Head Chef, Gordon McDermott, to create the Vegetarian Foodie Case. This exclusive case is filled with delicious vegetarian-friendly wines and recipes to be enjoyed all year round.

The recipes, developed by Gordon, will propel you into the kitchen, and together we’ve chosen a selection of fine wines to complement each tasty dish.

The finished result is the most delicious combination of flavours - enhancing the very best of what both the food and wine has to offer. Look out for the Sri Lankan Nut Curry paired with a French Gewürztraminer, or a Greek favourite – Spanakopita teamed with a beautiful South African Chenin Blanc.

Waitrose Cederberg Chenin Blanc, South Africa

This wine is produced in partnership with Cederberg Wine Farm, with money from every bottle sold supporting community projects chosen by the farm workers and their families. This delicious Chenin Blanc is fresh and dry, with aromas and flavours of peach and lime; a perfect wine to match with spinach spanakopitas.

Château Roquefort Roquefortissime, Bordeaux, France

This delicious, soft-textured, barrel-fermented white from Château Roquefort is its top cuvée. The gentle oak is very well-integrated and balanced by fresh fruit flavours of pear, lemon and lime. Pair this Bordeaux white with a Roquefort cheese and pear salad.
