2 x Waitrose Ripasso di Valpolicella Classico Superiore, Fratelli Recchia
Veneto, Italy

Alc vol:14.50% | Line no:652082
This is a fine example of a powerful, ripe and charming Ripasso-style Valpolicella. It is produced in partnership with Fratelli Recchia, a family firm founded in 1906, which owns some of the best vineyards in the Valpolicella Classico area. Ripasso offers a very drinkable, balanced alternative to Amarone at a more approachable price. Enjoy this rich wine with roast beef.

2 x Waitrose Reserve Shiraz, St Hallett
Barossa Valley, S Australia

Alc vol:14.50% | Line no:076775
With ripe red and black fruit flavours, hints of spice and a smooth chocolatey, oaky finish, this is a vibrant and rich red. It is made from 100% Shiraz grapes by Waitrose in partnership with renowned Barossa Valley winery St Hallett, and blended in consultation with the Waitrose wine buyer to reflect the definitive nature of Barossa Valley Shiraz. It’s a perfect pairing with tender steak.

2 x Waitrose Saint-Émilion
Bordeaux, France

Alc vol:12.50% | Line no:060369
This is a classic style of left-bank claret, predominantly Merlot with around a third of the blend being Cabernet Franc, which brings freshness and elegance. A small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon adds structure to the softer Merlot fruit character. Supple tannins support flavours of blueberry and plum with a subtle note of smoky complexity and gentle spice. Ideal paired with red meat dishes or mature hard cheeses.

2 x Waitrose Sauvignon Blanc, Villa Maria
Marlborough, New Zealand

Alc vol:12.50% | Line no:087432
Not all Marlborough Sauvignon Blancs taste the same. We challenged the renowned and experienced wine team at Villa Maria to produce one that harked back to the minerally Sancerre style with complexity and restraint. They have produced this exceptional food wine. Gooseberry and citrus flavours abound, with some smoky, stony character on the finish. It complements asparagus, chicken or goat’s cheese dishes.

2 x Longmorn The Distiller’s Choice
Burgundy, France

Alc vol:12.50% | Line no:007541
We have teamed up with the well-respected Cave des Vignerons de Chablis because of its access to excellent fruit and the expertise of winemaker David Delaye. Dry and bright, with a fantastic depth of fresh citrus fruit flavour, this Chablis has a subtle minerality reminiscent of the soil, which contains ancient marine fossils. The complexity of flavours will develop as the wine ages, and it’s perfect served lightly chilled alongside seafood, fish or white meat dishes. Really refreshing and beautifully balanced.

2 x Waitrose Cava Brut, Castillo Perelada
Penedes , Spain

Alc vol:11.50% | Line no:396950
A high-quality Cava made in partnership with Castillo Perelada, one of the top family-owned wineries in Spain, which dates back to the 14th century. It uses a high proportion of Parellada grapes grown high in the Alt Penedès, an area that benefits from cool growing conditions and chalky soils, making this an elegant wine with crisp fruit purity. A perfect celebratory fizz.
