This velvety smooth wine is produced for Waitrose by Georges Duboeuf, one of the best-known winemakers in Beaujolais. It’s full of bright red and black fruit flavours, with notes of fresh cherry, raspberry and strawberry, complemented by a hint of spice and subtle floral aromas.
Good served gently chilled, it goes well with charcuterie and cheese, and – perhaps surprisingly – with lightly spicy flavours.
