Tasting notes

Created from Valdivieso's young vineyard plantings, this fresh Sauvignon offers a wealth of zippy, bright grassy flavours, especially in the hands of the winery's Kiwi winemaker. On the nose, there's intense passionfruit and herb aromas, followed by crisp, clean flavours with fresh acidity balanced by a rich weight of fruit and soft structure. This exuberantly fruity white pairs beautifully with salads, goat cheese, fresh oysters and seafood in general.

From the phenomenally successful ‘In Partnership’ range, this Sauvignon Blanc comes from vineyards located in the coastal areas of the Casablanca Valley. It has been produced in partnership with Viña Valdivieso, with the blend made in conjunction with Waitrose buyer Nick Room. The sound experience and attention to detail from the Kiwi winemaker, Brett Jackson, manages to coax the very best flavours from assiduously controlled production, right through from vineyard to bottle.

Expert reviews

"Herbal grassy aromas dominate before opening into a wider palate with a touch of white peach."
