Friends George Clooney, Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman wanted to make the best-tasting tequila ever. They chose to do it with 100% blue Weber agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, to create a crisp, citrus and vanilla flavoured spirit.
Casamigos Blanco was born from the idea of making the best-tasting, smoothest tequila to share and enjoy, as the name suggests, in the ‘house of friends’. It was never originally intended to be made for the public. Luckily, long-time pals from the entertainment industry, actor George Clooney and businessman Rande Gerber (both pictured), together with their amigo Mike Meldman, decided it was too good to keep it confined to the casa. They joined forces with an experienced master distiller in tequila’s homeland of Jalisco, Mexico, and after many years, and even more blind-tastings, they finally settled on a recipe, using 100% blue weber agave, grown in the nearby Highlands.
The result is an award-winning clean, crisp tequila, with hints of citrus, vanilla and sweet agave, with a long smooth finish. There’s little need for lime or salt, just enjoy it straight or with ice… and always with your nearest and dearest.
