A taste of nature
The Żubrówka story started over 500 years ago in the primeval Białowieża Forest, a world heritage site protected by UNESCO where Europe's last remaining herds of wild bison roam free and where wild bison grass grows in the glades. It is this bison grass that gives Żubrówka its unique and aromatic taste.
Only 20 families know the exact location of the rare bison grass in Białowieża, a secret that is passed from generation to generation. It looks like normal grass, making it hard to find, but it gives off an amazing almond vanilla smell - just like Żubrówka vodka.
Combining century-old traditions and state of the art technology, it takes 60 days of craftsmanship to create a bottle of Żubrówka. A blade of bison grass is added to each one by hand, making every bottle truly unique.
Żubrówka mixes perfectly with the natural characteristics of cloudy apple juice. Try it in an Apple ZU by filling a long glass with ice, adding 50ml of Żubrówka, 100ml of cloudy apple juice and a squeeze of lime. Garnish with a slice of apple and enjoy.
