Imagine a home situated amidst rolling vines in the hills of the Pyrenees mountains. This idyllic setting is both the home and workplace of James and Catherine Kinglake who bought Domaine Begude in 2008.
The vineyard was established in the late 16th century and has since gained a reputation for excellence, most of which is due to excelled terrier. They have 29 hectares of vines which benefit from the high altitude of the region that allows for a cooler climate. This gives white wines their crisp acidity.
Vines have been thriving on this property since the 16th century and with our organic approach to farming they will continue to be seen on the property for centuries to come.James Kinglake
