A single-vineyard wine, grown on stony alluvial soil close to the Waihopai River. Brent Marris took the name from The Ned, a rugged peak nearby. Zesty and fruity, this wine has characteristic blackcurrant leaf and gooseberry flavours with a great smoky, herbal twist. It’s excellent with fresh and smoked salmon, oysters or spicy prawns.
Alc vol: 14% | Line no: 648130 Paolo Leo has owned and run his winery since 1989. It’s based in Salento, right in the heart of the spiky ‘boot heel’ of Italy. Made from the characterful grape Primitivo, this is deep ruby in colour with bold aromas of plum, cherry, spice and warm earthiness. Rounded, ripe and generously fruity, it is ideal with red meat, game or pasta dishes.
Alc vol: 14.50% | Line no: 594743 The expertise of Grant Burge is clearly evident in this fabulously ripe, juicy and luscious red. Grapes are carefully selected from different premium vineyards to provide a full spectrum of flavours. Savour ripe plum, liquorice, vanilla, damp earth and wood spice. The long finish is a sure sign of quality. Perfect with barbecue fare, particularly a rib-eye steak.
