Douglas Laing

There’s a passionate, creative and ambitious team at work behind the scenes at Douglas Laing distillery, a team that’s determined to deliver brilliantly made, inspiring whisky, in every dram. And indeed it does – the flavours of each bottle and its lively, playful label add a twinkle of mystery and mischievousness, which means it’s time to get exploring and tasting…

Inspired by the sea

Rock Island is an award-winning small-batch malt whisky created by the proudly independent, family-owned Douglas Laing & Co, using only the finest maritime single cask single malts – including those distilled on the islands of Islay, Arran, Jura and Orkney. Anticipate wave-soaked rocks and a salty oceanic character on the nose, with a palate carrying soft and fragrant peat with smoke, honey, damp ash and late pepper. All that is neatly replicated on the long, complex and moreish finish.
