Sherry
Produced in southern Spain, this fortified wine is available in both dry and sweet styles. The three most important styles of dry sherry are Fino, Oloroso and Amontillado. Pedro Ximénez is a sweet sherry with pronounced dried fruit flavours of raisins, dates and figs. Other sweet sherries, such as cream sherry, are made by adding a sweetening component to dry sherry.
