Tasting notes

Ara's wines are produced from their sustainably managed vineyard in the most south-western corner of Marlborough and deliver an intense and unmistakable purity. More elegant than many of its Marlborough competitors, this wine displays pronounced grapefruit aromatics with restrained mineral and flinty characters on the palate and a crisp finish.

Clinging to the most south-westerly corner of Marlborough, New Zealand, is the picturesque 400 hectare Ara vineyard. Surrounded by rugged mountains and crossed by two icy rivers, Ara's extreme location presents unique winemaking challenges, but its cool climate and slightly elevated position also results in particularly pure and vibrant wines - including internationally award-winning Sauvignon Blanc
