A popular summer wedding choice, white wine makes a great accompaniment to fish and chicken courses. Our range of white wines come from all corners of the world, from crisp New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs and rich, creamy French Chardonnays to aromatic German Riesling and crowd-pleasing, food-friendly Italian Pinot Grigio.
Rosé combines the fruitiness of red wine with the refreshing character of a chilled white. This makes it very versatile and surprisingly good with food. In general, light rosés are fabulous with delicate dishes such as sushi or a salade Niçoise, while fuller-flavoured pinks are fantastic with lightly spiced curries or and fresh fruit.

When thinking about wine and fizz for your wedding consider if you could get better value if you go with your venue's house wine or if you bring your own. You may be able to get a higher quality wine for a similar, or even cheaper, cost if you purchase bottles of wine yourself and pay the corkage fee.
Although traditional Champagne is a classic offering and guaranteed crowd pleaser, you could save your beverage budget for higher quality wines with your wedding breakfast. Try sparkling wines like Cava or Prosecco with a dash of Elderflower Liqueur for a sumptuous twist.
The key to buying wine for your wedding meal is to keep it simple. Choose a white or rosé to match lighter chicken or fish dishes and a red to match darker meats. When considering the ratio of white wine to red wine, going 50/50 is the safe choice. If you're having a summer wedding serving 60% white wine and 40% red wine might be a good idea; consider the reverse if you are having a winter wedding.
Don't forget bubbly for the toast! A bottle of fizz typically fills 6 glasses, so you will likely need to buy fewer bottles of bubbly than red and white wine.
Discover craft ales, traditional bitters and crowd-pleasing lagers, for those that prefer a cold one.
