Floral aromas of rose petal and violet are balanced by velvety flavours of cherry, ripe strawberry and baked plum. Ageing in French oak adds delicate toast and spice, while deeper notes of leather and gingerbread add complexity.
When Judy Jordan founded J Vineyards in 1986, she was a pioneer for women in the wine industry. Today, the winery is known for its award-winning, terroir-driven wine and this 2021 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is no exception.
It has all the classic characteristics of a Californian Pinot Noir with floral aromas complemented by cherry and plum on the palate, and hints of leather and gingerbread. The result is a deeply layered wine with a delicate sweetness and soft tannins.
