In 2020, Bruichladdich became the first whisky and gin distillery in Europe to become B Corp certified, which balances people, purpose and profit. The certification reflects 20 years of work by Bruichladdich, developing career opportunities for their 80 permanent Islay employees, a commitment that made them the largest private employer on the island.
