This dark-skinned grape produces deep, full-bodied wines with intense flavours (blackberries, mulberries and often a little smokiness) and, because Malbec is most at home in hot climates (Argentina, Chile, South of France), it can be relatively high in alcohol. Pair it with: a good steak.
